A Presentation by
William A. Mulligan
Cal State Long Beach
This session reports on the future of student news media using the results of a fall 2009 survey of all U.S. college and university student newspapers.
Advisers, as well as interested students, will be provided up-to-date information and recommendations for replacing the advertising-focused model with one that will sustain and increase readership of all audiences — students, faculty, staff and alumni.
In addition, the results of a February 2010 survey on the status and future of student journalism will be announced.
